Social Networking Sites
Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat. These are the social networking sites I consider to be absolute powerhouses in the social media business and the ones I use frequently. Though they all connect people in one way or another, they do so in very different ways.
Facebook was a pioneer for social networking and has changed a bit since it first started. It makes it easy to see what your friends and family are doing as the feed seems have they're posts readily available. It's nice because it includes posts, pictures, videos and live streaming so it kind of does everything in one place! It is infamous now for being where our grandparents are, and it is certainly true in my case! My grandparents use Facebook much more than I do, and I only use it to watch videos when I'm bored!
Twitter seems to be one of the strongest social media sites, even the president uses it daily! It is very simple and straight forward which makes it attractive and easy to use. It is a place where I find news, entertainment, and keep up with my friends. It makes you feel like you are truly connected with people, celebrities, and influencers all over the world since you can see what they're saying and write a reply at any time!
Instagram is the prettiest of all of the social networking sites as it is completely focused on pictures, and some video. With filters and a sleek design, Instagram is eye pleasing and a fun way to document your own life as well as see what others are doing. Though you can post pictures on all these networking sites, Instagram still seems to be kind of the pic.
Snapchat used to be something I used all the time, but since the recent update I have stopped using it almost altogether. It looks sloppy and gives me anxiety just looking at it now and I usually regret even getting on it. I think Snapchat is going to die soon as it doesn't do anything unique compared tot he previous three social networking sites listed.

I agree with all of your takes on these social media platforms. I had to get over the snapchat update as that is my favorite app. I actually prefer the old instagram style before facebook bought them out. It seems more original and unique. Now it just looks like a facebook just for pictures.
